Mariano Lacasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Ganga Mena managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Chile's Orlando Casaus fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Orlando Casauss short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Ganga Mena to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ganga Mena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Casaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 21st minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ganga Mena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ganga Mena was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0.

Ganga Mena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Casaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 史凌岚 might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thiago Pliego. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Guillermo Fontirroig managed to get in a good position for a shot.
