Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elói Miranda having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ulisses Sabóia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 8th minute, but Julio Vera got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Ecuador hanging dry this time. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Pimenta in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, SALIMEN's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Elói Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elói Miranda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. SALIMEN's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Felix Montes got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-1. 19 minutes into the match. Elói Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of the match. Elói Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. SALIMEN's Elói Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of play. Elói Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the game, Ulisses Sabóia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Ulisses Sabóia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elói Miranda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. Saturnino Gartzea, 45 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 51 minutes of play, SALIMEN's Cláudio Pimenta made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Pimenta in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by İldeniz Davutoğlu in the 93rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The SALIMEN players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
