In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Creekers's goalkeeper Jude Crocker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Creekers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. A well done corner resulted in Emmanuel Reyes drilling the ball in to score 0-1 behind Creekers's goalkeeper. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sylvesteri Valkama, made in the 11th minute of the game. 22 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ladislao Gines. Moises Gayoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 44th match minute, Creekers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sylvesteri Valkama to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Ladislao Gines took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Rolando Noboa to make any attempt to save it. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Riley Trotter made a kick off. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Uku Karju in the 52 minute of the game. Ladislao Gines scored 2-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ksawery Tyszka came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Creekers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ksawery Tyszka couldn't finish the play. 65 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jude Crocker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Creekers's Jude Crocker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 68th minute of play. Jude Crocker had in the 92ndth minute some difficulties stopping Eliseo Mina's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Uku Karju made in the 94th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ksawery Tyszka however managed to control. The audience was convinced that Rafael Gallo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jude Crocker was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. Creekers's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
