Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Chile's Mariano Lacasa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Chile booed when Overpower FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Holding didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brett Hart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 7th minute, Witomir Cichowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9thth minute of the game Patryk Bykowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brett Hart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. The attack was good, but when Mariano Lacasa in the 13th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Guillermo Fontirroig advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-1 in the 17th minute. After some careless play in the Chile defense, Patryk Bykowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. Orlando Casaus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brett Hart having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marty Driver. Brett Hart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Casaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chile's Pedro Indiano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Elias Valadares, made in the 29th minute of the game. In the 31st minute, Witomir Cichowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patryk Bykowski took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After 44 minutes of play, Chile's Orlando Casaus made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brett Hart was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 47th minute of the match, Patryk Bykowski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thiago Pliego saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 48th minute, Chile's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Timo Werner fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Overpower FC's João Cancelo was substituted for Evelio Zárate. Overpower FC's Zdzislaw Motowski was substituted for Patryk Bykowski. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zdzislaw Motowski to strike the kick off in the second half. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zdzislaw Motowski in the 58th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, João Cancelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and João Cancelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute of the match Chile got a corner. Overpower FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zdzislaw Motowski in the 82nd minute of the match. Mariano Lacasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brett Hart having to interfere. Brett Hart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Casaus in the 89th minute of play. 91 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Brett Hart. Mariano Lacasa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. 97 minutes into the match, Overpower FC's goalkeeper Brett Hart had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa.
