After a rather tough play, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Falcão Britto got a free kick in the 5th minute. A throw-in in the 7th minute of the game was made by Yetkin Hekim with Daniel Ghițescu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Basílio Silveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gláuber Cerezo in the 25 minute of the game. 33 minutes into the match, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Basílio Silveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 34 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Luca Espinar. A collision led to Jacuitiba - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Falcão Britto hit a great ball. Honduras's attentive Valentín Carvallo managed to snatch the ball when Gláuber Cerezo made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Ghițescu in the 43rd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Basílio Silveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Honduras's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Falcão Britto was slow to take the kick. During this time Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's players had a chance to rest. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Basílio Silveira was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lautaro Navarro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After the first half Jacuitiba - FSCMZ were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Basílio Silveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 55 minutes into the game, Vinícius Branco threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of Honduras booed when Jacuitiba - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chico Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Daniel Ghițescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Daniel Ghițescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Ghițescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. After 63 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Valentín Carvallo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Ghițescu got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Daniel Ghițescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Basílio Silveira came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Ghițescu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lautaro Navarro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Basílio Silveira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Lautaro Navarro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Daniel Ghițescu came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Jacuitiba - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Ghițescu couldn't finish the play. Daniel Ghițescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Valentín Carvallo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Daniel Ghițescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Daniel Ghițescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Basílio Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
