Desfachatados F.C.'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. Desfachatados F.C.'s Esteve Pello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 17th minute of play. Esteve Pello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of play. In the 19thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Desfachatados F.C.'s Esteve Pello was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Desfachatados F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Esteve Pello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The tension between the Desfachatados F.C. and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esteve Pello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteve Pello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Luis Andino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Esteve Pello. That made the score 0-3 in the 92 minute of play. Ecuador played a much better game than Desfachatados F.C. and deserved their victory. The Desfachatados F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
