Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 34th minute, Agustin Silvino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute Pascual Carballar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Quentin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Montenegro in the 36th minute. After taking down the ball on Colombia's corner Pascual Carballar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Carlos Quentin quite easily take care of the ball. After the first half Pincha FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcial Roldanillo to make the kick off. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Marcial Roldanillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pincha FC's Carlos Quentin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 63rd minute of play. In the 67th minute Santino Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Quentin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santino Seco in the 70th minute of play forced Pincha FC's goalkeeper Carlos Quentin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Quentin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 81st minute, Axel Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Pincha FC's German Merexildo was substituted for Agustin Silvino. Pincha FC's Darren McDonald was substituted for Victorio Hondo. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Pincha FC's Everardo Garaile was substituted for Carlos-Salvador Bilardo. When Colombia's Abram Secada in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pincha FC played a much better game than Colombia and deserved their victory. The Colombia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
