Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edmundo Espiga started the match with the kick off. Lautaro Navarro didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 5th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. CD Municipal were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Honduras's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Martino Armona took the corner. The crowd rose to their feet as Enrique Cassaretto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 2-0 in the 13 minute of play. Iacob Roman made in the 17th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Martino Armona. Enrique Cassaretto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lautaro Navarro having to make a save. 25 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrique Cassaretto. Enrique Cassaretto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lautaro Navarro came out and tried to block the shot, but Enrique Cassaretto slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 27th minute. Esteban Carvallo hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Iacob Roman got a throw-in 39 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Aureliano Buendia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 43rd minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Navarro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Enrique Cassaretto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 44 minute of play. In the 47th minute, Ivan Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enrique Cassaretto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 53rd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 55th minute of the game was made by Milagros Cabal with Sebastian Villa as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 59th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Enrique Cassaretto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. CD Municipal made a substitution. Peter Haber replaced Tulio Andinyach. CD Municipal's Oalo Dean was substituted for Zlatan Molina. Ryota Miyagi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lautaro Navarro having to make a save. In the 72nd minute of the match Martino Armona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lautaro Navarro skillfully saved the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Oalo Dean came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yunus Mahşer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute Oalo Dean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ryota Miyagi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lautaro Navarro having to make a save. Martino Armona took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 95th minute, Oalo Dean left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. CD Municipal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
