Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 雷钢青 in the 5th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Du Esporte Clube's 雷钢青 got a free kick in the 8th minute. Alberto Tafalla in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Markus Pflüger, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 19th minute of the match, Facundo Cadaval got a very nice opportunity to score, but Markus Pflüger was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Lizer in the 27th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Facundo Cadaval blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Markus Pflüger having to make a save. Markus Pflüger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Joel Gaona received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Markus Pflüger came out and tried to block the shot, but Joel Gaona slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 39th minute. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Markus Pflüger made a huge save. 45 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Markus Pflüger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sílvio Costa to make the kick off. Markus Pflüger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Lautaro Mancebo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After some careless play in the Du Esporte Clube defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Markus Pflüger. The Du Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Markus Pflüger should have stopped the shot. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Markus Pflüger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 minutes Du Esporte Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Du Esporte Clube's Markus Pflüger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 72nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Du Esporte Clube's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Markus Pflüger came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Du Esporte Clube booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Facundo Cadaval didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by 雷钢青 from long distance, 75 minutes into the match, got Dante Lacasa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Du Esporte Clube's goalie prevented a goal. In the 85th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Pflüger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Alberto Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of Markus Pflüger. Du Esporte Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Mexico's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
