Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Julian Murillo got the match started through his kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florentino Herauso saved Santa Lucia de Merlo from getting behind. When Santa Lucia de Merlo's M. Agus Young in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peru's goalie prevented a goal. M. Agus Young blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Florentino Herauso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's Milagros Fraga got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Florentino Herauso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 25th minute of play. Florentino Herauso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 27th minute of play. After 31 minutes Santa Lucia de Merlo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Eliseo Mina managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 35th minute of play forced Santa Lucia de Merlo's goalkeeper Florentino Herauso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel Reyes. 39 minutes into the game, Alvaro Llorienzo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Florentino Herauso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by M. Agus Young.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and M. Agus Young made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Santa Lucia de Merlo's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Florentino Herauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Levan Poggenborg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alvaro Llorienzo in the 62 minute of the game. A collision led to Santa Lucia de Merlo getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Alvaro Llorienzo hit a great ball. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Polo Quinteros's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Polo Quinteros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. In the 95th minute of the match, Julian Murillo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Florentino Herauso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. After 98 minutes Santa Lucia de Merlo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eliseo Mina who took care of the corner kick. Bosse Spendrup tried in the game's 98th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Florentino Herauso. An annoying self made goal, 0-1. Peru played a much better game than Santa Lucia de Merlo and deserved their victory. The Santa Lucia de Merlo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
