Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joel Gaona got the match started through his kick off. David Ospina made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that León FC's David Ospina managed to reach the ball for a save. David Ospina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 14th minute of play. After 27 minutes León FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. David Ospina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 36th minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Larra in the 37th minute of play. Raimundo Larra took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After some careless play in the León FC defense, Luca Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Ospina. The León FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Ospina should have stopped the shot. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but David Ospina made a huge save. León FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Angel Frutos in the 49th minute. Hugo Frasco hit a great freekick 49 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a rather tough play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Raimundo Larra's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dante Lacasa firmly grabbed it by the left post. 59 minutes into the game, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Ospina made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After 62 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Tafalla. León FC's Filiberto Checa was substituted for Hugo Frasco. David Ospina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 73rd minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filiberto Checa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes in the game, Numbers Alex fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. León FC made a substitution. Ladislao Primo replaced Numbers Alex. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cirilo Su during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 81 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Ospina made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. If Raimundo Larra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Ospina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raimundo Larra in the 97th minute. David Ospina didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Mancebo went, in the 100th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. Mexico were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of León FC for a fine match.
