Saverio Osasun really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Porfiro in the 18th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Romulo Nofre hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Hugo Itzaina made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rupert Longden in the 29th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliciano Porfiro in the 31st minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Modestio, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Hugo Itzaina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

With a little luck, Trapiche's Federico Fe got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Federico Fe saved Trapiche from getting behind. When Feliciano Porfiro came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Trapiche fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliciano Porfiro couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 75th minute of play forced Trapiche's goalkeeper Federico Fe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Osasun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. Trapiche's Jaroslaw Gleba was substituted for Feliciano Porfiro. Trapiche's Ziggy Marley was substituted for Rafael Modestio. 93 minutes into the match, Trapiche's goalkeeper Federico Fe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Trapiche had played much better football throughout.
