Moises Gayoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gabrijel Jovanovski. Julian Murillo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 36 minutes in the game, Eliseo Mina fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gabrijel Jovanovski having to interfere. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin De Bruyne in the 38th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Julian Murillo took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Gabrijel Jovanovski to make any attempt to save it. Lipovljani's Egon Škare was substituted for Valter Vidulić. Lipovljani's Arsen Vukša was substituted for Nikifor Kulaksúzov. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Cvjetko Štokić hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 54 minutes into the match, Lipovljani's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Gabrijel Jovanovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Lipovljani's Gabrijel Jovanovski. Gabrijel Jovanovski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 82 played minutes Lipovljani got a freekick which was hit by Jadranko Mamlić. 85 minutes into the game, Mykhaylo Mudryk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lipovljani's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peru the free kick. The supporters of Peru booed when Lipovljani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mykhaylo Mudryk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. After a rather tough play, Lipovljani's Mykhaylo Mudryk got a free kick in the 87th minute. Gabrijel Jovanovski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Gallo in the 92nd minute of the match. After 97 minutes of play, Peru's Rafael Gallo made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gabrijel Jovanovski was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that Peru were the better team. Peru's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
