A sloppy throw-in by Gláuber Tande in the 23rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. Esen Sanal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 24th minute of play. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 26th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's zone, Joshua Garrido stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esen Sanal came out of the goal and Joshua Garrido tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 33 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Tafalla. The throw-in from Gláuber Tande in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. Esen Sanal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 37 minutes of play, Colombia's Axel Montenegro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Esen Sanal was left in no man's land by his defense there! S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 41st minute of play. Lucio Siekkötter hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. When Colombia's Abram Sarmiento in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye S.E.R. In the 55th minute Santino Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esen Sanal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Augusto came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Esen Sanal managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Colombia's Axel Montenegro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save S.E.R. Caxias do Sul from getting a goal against them. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Montenegro in the 61st minute. The corner ended in Orlando Tafalla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal did a great save. In the 70th minute Joshua Garrido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esen Sanal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Augusto in the 71st minute of play. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Colombia's Kevin Mastache managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gláuber Tande in the 77 minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santino Seco got free with Esen Sanal in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Esen Sanal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The Colombia fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Colombia's Abram Secada looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 94th minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Esen Sanal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
