Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Bayan Gugovski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute of play. In the 5th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Bayan Gugovski. Merengue FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 7th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, Merengue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Bayan Gugovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Merengue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Bayan Gugovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bayan Gugovski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Darwin Núñez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Darwin Núñez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 18 minute of play. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Darwin Núñez in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Merengue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Bayan Gugovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play forced Merengue FC's goalkeeper Bayan Gugovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Felix Montenegro sped through Merengue FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bayan Gugovski. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bayan Gugovski having to make a save. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Bayan Gugovski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. If Aquiles Urtsin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Bayan Gugovski made a huge save. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 52nd minute. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Felix Montes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bayan Gugovski quite easily take care of the ball. After 59 minutes, Daniel Zorita made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Merengue FC's Bayan Gugovski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Bayan Gugovski made a huge save. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Urtsin came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 minutes, Luis Andino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Merengue FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Merengue FC's Aquiles Urtsin. But to his dismay, Aquiles Urtsin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. When Aquiles Urtsin came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Merengue FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aquiles Urtsin couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darwin Núñez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Merengue FC's Bayan Gugovski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Merengue FC from getting a goal against them. In the 95th minute, Cristian Sancho had to leave the field with a concussion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ismael Frances during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ecuador's Diego Mancebo was substituted for Cristian Sancho. Ismael Frances hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Merengue FC.
