They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute C.A Huracan were awarded a corner. Arnoldo Karmel went to the cornerflag to take it. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arnoldo Karmel was slow to take the kick. During this time C.A Huracan's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Arnoldo Karmel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 54th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant had in the 60thth minute some difficulties stopping Arnoldo Karmel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball In the 60th minute, Arnoldo Karmel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Timoteo Machado struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A Huracan. 64 minutes into the game, C.A Huracan's Timoteo Machado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. After a rather tough play, C.A Huracan's Francisco-Javier Campo got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 81 minutes of play, C.A Huracan's Marcos Sabino made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! C.A Huracan played a much better game than Venezuela and deserved their victory. The Venezuela players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
