Vormsi Vald's Evaristo Truylos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Vormsi Vald from getting a goal against them. Vormsi Vald's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Felix Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Evaristo Truylos, making the score, 1-0. The supporters of Vormsi Vald booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evaristo Truylos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 54 minutes Vormsi Vald's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toomas Lasso got free with Julio Vera in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Toomas Lasso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. In the 93rd minute, Honorato Villagrán reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 2-4. The Vormsi Vald supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vormsi Vald would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
