Imbituba - FSCMZ's Pedro Luís Fonseca was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marco Day in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Sidney Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nathaniel Burnett blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Day having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathaniel Burnett in the 28th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Nathaniel Burnett cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. USA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nathaniel Burnett was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The supporters of Imbituba - FSCMZ booed when USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Bradley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Imbituba - FSCMZ's Nathaniel Burnett got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Day stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nathaniel Burnett's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Imbituba - FSCMZ made a substitution. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacob May in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sidney Motta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Jacob May sped through Imbituba - FSCMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sidney Motta. Sidney Motta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Khalid Parry's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. USA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jenson Smith in the 94th minute. Imbituba - FSCMZ were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over USA's much stronger midfield.
