Sport Club Mavericks's Amadeu Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amadeu Prado. Amadeu Prado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Amadeu Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th minute of the match, Alberto Tafalla got a very nice opportunity to score, but Amadeu Prado was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Amadeu Prado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Tafalla went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. 67 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Amadeu Prado. Joel Gaona showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Joel Gaona received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Amadeu Prado came out and tried to block the shot, but Joel Gaona slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 71st minute. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Amadeu Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 76th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Amadeu Prado in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Luca Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Amadeu Prado to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Sport Club Mavericks's Amadeu Prado got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Sport Club Mavericks defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeu Prado. The Sport Club Mavericks fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeu Prado should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Prado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla notched a goal, 0-10, to the right of Sport Club Mavericks's Amadeu Prado. Amadeu Prado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Prado having to interfere. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sport Club Mavericks throughout the match.
