After 3 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bill Carmichael was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 8th minute of the game Mané de Lara made a throw-in which Dawid Kochowski played forward. Topsail's Bill Carmichael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Topsail's Bill Carmichael. Bill Carmichael was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bill Carmichael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 25th minute of the match. Bill Carmichael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bill Carmichael. Bill Carmichael dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 38 minutes into the match, Topsail's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Bill Carmichael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Peru's Milagros Fraga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bill Carmichael made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. The supporters of Topsail booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Prats didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. Bill Carmichael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bill Carmichael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 62nd minute of play forced Topsail's goalkeeper Bill Carmichael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Topsail's goalkeeper Bill Carmichael, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by György Berkes in the 67th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Alonso Berganza. 68 minutes into the match, Topsail's goalkeeper Bill Carmichael had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. Julian Murillo in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bill Carmichael, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bill Carmichael made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute Wendell Conn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bill Carmichael read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 78th minute. Topsail's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Julian Murillo 90 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. In the 95th play minute Rafael Gallo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bill Carmichael. 0-7. Peru played a much better game than Topsail and deserved their victory. The Topsail players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
