In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mauro's goalkeeper Lu Hong Qiang, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Edmundo Espiga got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lu Hong Qiang quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zula Tamulewicz in the 6th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Nicola Zalewski got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo pulled a muscle in his back after 10 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Islam Slimani's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Islam Slimani helped the player get up and apologised. Honduras's Stefano Rouco was substituted for Esteban Carvallo. Islam Slimani hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 13th minute of play forced Mauro's goalkeeper Lu Hong Qiang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lu Hong Qiang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Villa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tymoteusz Mikulski made in the 22nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Stasio Przebendowski immediately put the ball in play. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Islam Slimani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Islam Slimani sent off a good shot on target. 34 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Islam Slimani. The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the game, Islam Slimani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Islam Slimani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Islam Slimani came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauro's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Barnaba Falke in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the game, Wawrzyniec Bara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mauro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. In the 80th match minute, Mauro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miroslaw Lanczak to maneuver through the defense. Lu Hong Qiang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Islam Slimani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. The Mauro support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
