After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Barlas Dilsuz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Altuğ Dalokay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enginalp Orsel's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enginalp Orsel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th minute, Enginalp Orsel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Altuğ Dalokay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when KÖKEZSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yakup Sarıkaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that KÖKEZSPOR's Altuğ Dalokay managed to reach the ball for a save. 34 minutes into the match, KÖKEZSPOR's goalkeeper Altuğ Dalokay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Though ot was a great shot Ecuador's keeper Julio Vera was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when KÖKEZSPOR's Burhan Olgaç fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 83rd match minute, KÖKEZSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barlas Dilsuz to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the game, Naim Bakkalbaşı recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Naim Bakkalbaşı showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Barlas Dilsuz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 0-4 in the 93 minute of play. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Burhan Olgaç sent off a good shot on target. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play.
