Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Tizian Stange in the 4th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alejo Fe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dragons XI's goalkeeper Alejo Fe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dragons XI's Alejo Fe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Fe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Orlando Casaus got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alejo Fe quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gerardo Pozo hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Dinu Grecea sent off a good shot on target. Alejo Fe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 20th minute of play. Chile were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Dragons XI's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariano Lacasa took the corner. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Orlando Casaus sped through Dragons XI's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alejo Fe. In the 24th minute Guillermo Fontirroig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Fe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Dragons XI getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Renato Leonhard hit a great ball. Chile's Alan Tamayo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Johannes Jonen, made in the 26th minute of the game. 27 minutes into the match, Chile's Guillermo Fontirroig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alejo Fe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dragons XI were furious when Walter Breda was red carded, 34 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dragons XI fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 40th minute of play forced Dragons XI's goalkeeper Alejo Fe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Fe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Chile were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Dinu Grecea made the kick off in the second half. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alejo Fe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. After 55 minutes Dragons XI's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Lacasa who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Pedro Indiano managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Alejo Fe made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. Orlando Casaus struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Alejo Fe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alejo Fe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dragons XI's goalkeeper Alejo Fe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Lacasa in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alejo Fe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alejo Fe was a little too slow when Mariano Lacasa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 1-3. 78 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alejo Fe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alejo Fe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tizian Stange in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Orlando Casaus notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Dragons XI's Alejo Fe. Alejo Fe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Dragons XI's Tizian Stange in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chile's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 2-5 when Tizian Stange sped through Chile's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chile would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
