Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Mexico's Luca Zorita getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Joel Gaona was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 10th minute. Mexico's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Eloy Idacio was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Lautaro Mancebo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lautaro Mancebo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Lautaro Mancebo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eloy Idacio. That made the score 2-0 in the 14 minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo scored 3-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eloy Idacio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 20 minutes into the game, Romulo Haimar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. The supporters of Mexico booed when Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Haimar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Joel Gaona took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Eloy Idacio to make any attempt to save it. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s goalkeeper Eloy Idacio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 31st minute of play forced Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s goalkeeper Eloy Idacio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s Adrian Abecia got a free kick in the 34th minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andi Johnson in the 36th minute of play. When Mexico's Joel Gaona in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s goalie prevented a goal. Joel Gaona was extremely unlucky when he, in the 48th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖ getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Apolo Jakue hit a great ball.

Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s goalie prevented a goal. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖ defense, Joel Gaona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eloy Idacio. The Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eloy Idacio should have stopped the shot. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s Eloy Idacio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 78th minute of play. After 80 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eloy Idacio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Idacio having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eloy Idacio. Eloy Idacio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-0. 92 minutes into the game, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eloy Idacio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 13-0. Eloy Idacio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
