Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Through an outstanding action, after 2 minutes, Sagrario Paniagua successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after CD Municipal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The corner led Mexico's Macos Graciani to fire away a dangerous shot which Sagrario Paniagua despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Sagrario Paniagua made a huge save. After 11 minutes, Lorenzo Cazalla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mexico and the CD Municipal players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sagrario Paniagua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 13th minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Sagrario Paniagua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 18th minute. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Sagrario Paniagua despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sagrario Paniagua. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Sagrario Paniagua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by Lautaro Mancebo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sagrario Paniagua. Sagrario Paniagua dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Municipal's goalkeeper Sagrario Paniagua, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luca Rouco kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. The supporters of Mexico booed when CD Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blai Bedia didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to CD Municipal getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Marcelo Bojorquez hit a great ball. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Macos Graciani got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 4-0. 39 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in CD Municipal's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sagrario Paniagua came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Luca Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luca Zorita couldn't finish the play. Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xan Revillas was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sagrario Paniagua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to CD Municipal getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Gaztea Rubin hit a great ball. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sagrario Paniagua. Sagrario Paniagua dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After some careless play in the CD Municipal defense, Lautaro Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sagrario Paniagua. The CD Municipal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sagrario Paniagua should have stopped the shot. CD Municipal's Sagrario Paniagua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 65th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sagrario Paniagua. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sagrario Paniagua having to interfere. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Sagrario Paniagua didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. A collision led to CD Municipal getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Kemen Zalon hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Sagrario Paniagua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mexico booed when CD Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orland Urria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xan Revillas charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xan Revillas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th minute, Xan Revillas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Sagrario Paniagua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Sagrario Paniagua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90thth minute of the game Luca Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CD Municipal's Sagrario Paniagua was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 91st minute, Lautaro Mancebo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. Sagrario Paniagua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 96th minute of play. Mexico walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
