The audience was convinced that Nathaniel Burnett's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. In the 28th minute of the match Imbituba - FSCMZ got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Axel Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sidney Motta having to make a save. Sidney Motta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Montenegro in the 31st minute. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berenguer Anda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Sidney Motta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Montenegro. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Sidney Motta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Imbituba - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Santino Seco hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Sidney Motta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Imbituba - FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pedro Luís Fonseca in the 57th minute. A nice corner shot did that Pedro Luís Fonseca got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pedro Manzanares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathaniel Burnett in the 61st minute of the match. Nathaniel Burnett blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nathaniel Burnett in the 67th minute of play. Pedro Luís Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Imbituba - FSCMZ made a substitution. Ersan Ergüleç replaced Nathaniel Burnett. Colombia made a substitution. Válbson Pimenta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. 85 minutes into the match, Imbituba - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Secada came free, but Sidney Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 90 minutes on the clock, Dani Alves commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Abram Secada took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sidney Motta. Sidney Motta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Sidney Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 98th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 99th minute of play forced Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Sidney Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
