Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Francisco Seco started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes MAFFIAN got a freekick which was hit by Kristoffer Nyberg. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aron Dahlbom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Wassberg in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Uruguay booed when MAFFIAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Östen Vennersten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute, Alberto Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th match minute, MAFFIAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alf Säfström to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Franco to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Thomas Wassberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 42ndth minute of the game Thomas Wassberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Aron Dahlbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

A nice corner shot did that Jaime Cazalla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aron Dahlbom quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Vallin in the 72nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Torgny Mogren sped through Uruguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Gunde Svan hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Michel Kjellkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After 86 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Seco. Camilo Covarrubias was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 89 minutes into the match. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Uruguay! Joaquin Gayoso went to the wrong direction when Torgny Mogren was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind MAFFIAN's goalkeeper Aron Dahlbom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Alex Vallin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Uruguay's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because MAFFIAN had won, even though Uruguay had held more of the ball.
