The throw-in from Joshua Garrido in the 5th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Club Deportivo Español's Flavio Botello. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vacid Nefer's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. In the 18th minute Club Deportivo Español were awarded a corner. Anthony Bonelli went to the cornerflag to take it. Club Deportivo Español's Anthony Bonelli was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedro Manzanares in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Vacid Nefer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Vacid Nefer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportivo Español's supporters rose to their feet, but Vacid Nefer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Vacid Nefer came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Club Deportivo Español fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vacid Nefer couldn't finish the play. After 28 minutes Club Deportivo Español's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Montenegro who took care of the corner kick. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Matias Chayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Orlando Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After 36 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Indiano. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Pedro Manzanares successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Turgut Talha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Club Deportivo Español's Vacid Nefer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Español's Matias Chayo got a free kick in the 45th minute. Turgut Talha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joshua Garrido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Turgut Talha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Mastache in the 51st minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vacid Nefer, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Club Deportivo Español's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Pascual Carballar scored to the left of an out of position Turgut Talha, making the score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Chayo in the 64th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vacid Nefer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Deportivo Español's Arnaldo Queiroz was substituted for Tenho Sono. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Deportivo Español's Vacid Nefer. But to his dismay, Vacid Nefer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After 89 minutes, Ignacio Mastache made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Club Deportivo Español's Turgut Talha tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Vacid Nefer came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Club Deportivo Español fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vacid Nefer couldn't finish the play. Club Deportivo Español's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
