Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anastasio Matei made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Sancho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anastasio Matei. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johann Dubski in the 26th minute of play. Cristian Sancho's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Anastasio Matei firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 46th minute Dix Reimann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Johann Dubski was the one to do the kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johann Dubski in the 55th minute of the match. Johann Dubski scored 1-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FSV Schuette's Dix Reimann got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 70th minute. FSV Schuette made a substitution. Anton Matzken replaced Johann Dubski. In the 72nd minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anastasio Matei was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after FSV Schuette's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when FSV Schuette's Dix Reimann fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Ecuador lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
