Academia NOFX's Hernán Pajot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 14th minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mevlüt Tacir in the 17th minute of the match. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johan Loria in the 18th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Johan Loria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Johan Loria blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. Academia NOFX's Hernán Pajot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Academia NOFX from getting a goal against them. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mevlüt Tacir in the 36th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Academia NOFX's Carlos-Mario Monclús got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mevlüt Tacir made a kick off. Academia NOFX's Johan Loria got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Academia NOFX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesus Fertus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximiliano Escribano scored 1-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hernán Pajot, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Johan Loria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia NOFX's supporters rose to their feet, but Johan Loria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernán Pajot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mevlüt Tacir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Gisbert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernán Pajot having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 78th minute of play forced Academia NOFX's goalkeeper Hernán Pajot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Academia NOFX's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Hernán Pajot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Academia NOFX defense, Maximiliano Escribano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hernán Pajot. The Academia NOFX fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hernán Pajot should have stopped the shot. Maximiliano Escribano took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hernán Pajot. Hernán Pajot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Loria in the 93rd minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernán Pajot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 95th minute of play. There was no doubt that Uruguay were the better team. Uruguay's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
