But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milagros Fraga couldn't finish the play. Sidney Motta had great luck who in the 29thth minute grab hold of the ball when Julian Murillo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 33rdth minute of the game Nathaniel Burnett who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Peru's Luz Tejedor slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sidney Motta. That made the score 1-1 after 34 minutes of play. Luz Tejedor hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nathaniel Burnett's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. After a rather tough play, Imbituba - FSCMZ's Armandinho Loyola got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The throw-in from 温浩康 in the 71st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. After a rather tough play, Peru's Milagros Fraga got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Ademar de Mendonça was substituted for Armandinho Loyola. Milagros Fraga hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Válbson Pimenta sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Alonso Berganza hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válbson Pimenta in the 93rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Válbson Pimenta scored 1-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Imbituba - FSCMZ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
