Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Severino Benino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Abelardo Berenguer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Atlético y Tiro Rqta's Gabriel Urritz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. A hard shot 16 in the game by Severino Benino from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Berenguer having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Juli Álvarez notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 26 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. 30 minutes into the match, Atlético y Tiro Rqta's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Abelardo Berenguer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juli Álvarez in the 31st minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juli Álvarez. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severino Benino in the 43rd minute. Abelardo Berenguer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severino Benino to make the kick off. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxi Rodríguez in the 53rd minute of play. Atlético y Tiro Rqta's Erubiel Munio was substituted for Gabriel Urritz. Juli Álvarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético y Tiro Rqta's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Berenguer came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 67 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abelardo Berenguer. That made the score 2-1 after 73 minutes of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. Abelardo Berenguer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 83 minute of play. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Abelardo Berenguer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Abelardo Berenguer came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Luis Andino. But to his dismay, Luis Andino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The Ecuador players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
