Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Andoni Zubizarreta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tadeusz Markowski came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the M-WKP Kombornia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tadeusz Markowski couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eugeniusz Bakes to strike the kick off in the second half. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, M-WKP Kombornia's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Andoni Zubizarreta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Facundo Cadaval to maneuver through the defense. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
