Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Clube Atlético Paulista's Rickard Ödman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Clube Atlético Paulista's goalkeeper Aden Couzens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Clube Atlético Paulista's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Ödman in the 7th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Aden Couzens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aden Couzens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Aden Couzens in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Atlético Paulista's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aden Couzens came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Clube Atlético Paulista's Aden Couzens got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Aden Couzens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aden Couzens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Andino went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 39 minutes into the match, Saul Mambru had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saul Mambru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. If Corbett Alonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Clube Atlético Paulista getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Rodrigo Baptista hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aden Couzens. Clube Atlético Paulista's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Aden Couzens made a huge save. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by Clube Atlético Paulista's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Aden Couzens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Aden Couzens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 58th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rickard Ödman in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Ödman in the 81st minute of the match. Aden Couzens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 82nd minute of play. Clube Atlético Paulista's Aden Couzens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 85th minute of play. When Yuri Marquez fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube Atlético Paulista's protests and gave Yuri Marquez a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Clube Atlético Paulista:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. In the 91st minute there was a penalty for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aden Couzens. 4-2. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Atlético Paulista's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aden Couzens came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marquinhos Pena during the 100th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 100 played minutes Clube Atlético Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Pena. Ecuador walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
