In the 5th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Maurinho da Costa. FLU ES fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Maurinho da Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Maurinho da Costa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Maurinho da Costa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Andino went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maurinho da Costa having to make a save. Maurinho da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play. After 22 played minutes FLU ES fc got a freekick which was hit by Jailson de Sena. In the 24th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurinho da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maurinho da Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Tales Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jailson de Sena fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FLU ES fc's protests and gave Jailson de Sena a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd match minute, FLU ES fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jailson de Sena to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute, one of FLU ES fc:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FLU ES fc. Maurinho da Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurinho da Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maurinho da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Maurinho da Costa in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, FLU ES fc's Maurinho da Costa got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maurinho da Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustín Saelices in the 58th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices lined in a short shot 0-5 behind a frustrated Maurinho da Costa. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Felix Montenegro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maurinho da Costa. That made the score 0-7 after 68 minutes of play. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The goalkeeper, Maurinho da Costa, was totally fooled by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita, who 75 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FLU ES fc's goalie prevented a goal. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurinho da Costa having to interfere. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind FLU ES fc's goalkeeper Maurinho da Costa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maurinho da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute, Tales Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 93rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Maurinho da Costa but with some difficulty. The FLU ES fc fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
