The corner led Conference League winners's Christos Alexiadis to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcos Cotilla despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 14th minute of the match, Eufemio Andrade tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos Cotilla saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marinos Sarigiannidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iraklis Zafiriou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pipis Karagiotas. In the 31st minute, Pipis Karagiotas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iraklis Zafiriou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Conference League winners's Eufemio Andrade ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After 43 minutes, Felipe Ros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panama and the Conference League winners players grew even worse after the yellow card. Felipe Ros hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Berganza to make the kick off. After having played for 79 minutes, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abraham Alguacil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Alguacil got free with Iraklis Zafiriou in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eufemio Andrade in the 84th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Conference League winners fans cheered their team off the field, for while Panama had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
