Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Brecht Dheedene got the match started through his kick off. Xaime Urrechua kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Brecht Dheedene did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Julio Vera 13 minutes into the match. In the 16thth minute of the game Luis Andino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cimarrones F.C.'s Themba Takane was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 17th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Cimarrones F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 23 played minutes Cimarrones F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Carmichael Cridland. Brecht Dheedene sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Themba Takane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cimarrones F.C.'s Themba Takane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of play forced Cimarrones F.C.'s goalkeeper Themba Takane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ubarna Donallo hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cimarrones F.C.'s goalkeeper Themba Takane, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brecht Dheedene, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 48 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Brecht Dheedene came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Themba Takane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cimarrones F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cimarrones F.C.'s goalie and right to Luis Andino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cimarrones F.C.'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 65 minutes into the match, Cimarrones F.C.'s goalkeeper Themba Takane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 66th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Luis Andino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Themba Takane quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Themba Takane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demetrio Giacchetti in the 71st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Themba Takane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 73rd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Taniel Kips came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Themba Takane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xaime Urrechua in the 77th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demetrio Giacchetti, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Cimarrones F.C.'s goalkeeper Themba Takane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. Cimarrones F.C.'s Totakoxe Zabaleta was substituted for Ubarna Donallo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xaime Urrechua in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Eloy Janez fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cimarrones F.C.'s protests and gave Eloy Janez a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cimarrones F.C. getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Eloy Janez hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Themba Takane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
