With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jude Bonham saved Barr Point from getting behind. 17 minutes into the match, Barr Point's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Jude Bonham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Agustín Saelices got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jude Bonham quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Den Newland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Chris Bowler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jude Bonham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. 35 minutes into the match, Barr Point's CJ Street sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barr Point were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. CJ Street took the corner. Barr Point's CJ Street was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jude Bonham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Barr Point's Alfred Doona got a free kick in the 45th minute. The supporters of Barr Point booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when CJ Street stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jude Bonham narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 55th minute CJ Street shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jude Bonham. That made the score 1-1 after 56 minutes of play. Cristian Sanchos short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Jude Bonham to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jude Bonham made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 60th minute. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jude Bonham having to interfere. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 74 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Barr Point's Jude Bonham got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jude Bonham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jude Bonham made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
