Milagros Fraga made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Les Tigres's Gonzo Maradona managed to reach the ball for a save. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvard Võsandi, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Rafael Gallo made a precise shot to the right of Gonzo Maradona. Les Tigres's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Peru had won after a very even match.
