Jesus Orlondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 9th minute of the match. Mojotoro AFC's Jesus Orlondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of play. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Agustín Saelices got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-1. 12 minutes into the match. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Ezequiel Tonete recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jamie Leemans hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jesus Orlondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mojotoro AFC's goalkeeper Jesus Orlondo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Felix Montenegro was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Jesus Orlondo came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mojotoro AFC's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesus Orlondo came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Jesus Orlondo made a huge save. After having played for 52 minutes, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Saelices was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 53rd minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jesus Orlondo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luis Andino charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Andino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute of the match Filiberto Cordarrell sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Mojotoro AFC's goalkeeper Jesus Orlondo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. When David Lambrozzi fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
