Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. Diguinho Rezende blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. In the 6th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Countdown FC's Er Miner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Er Miner. Countdown FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 16 minutes, Ernani Valadares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Countdown FC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play forced Countdown FC's goalkeeper Er Miner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Washington Demartiss short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Er Miner having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Countdown FC's Válter Dante got a free kick in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Washington Demartis. Er Miner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Vítor Barros in the 48th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 53 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Diguinho Rezende who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Diguinho Rezende got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 54 minutes into the match, Countdown FC's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Er Miner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 55th minute of play forced Countdown FC's goalkeeper Er Miner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington Demartis in the 56th minute of play. Washington Demartis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Cardozo came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adriano Cardozo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Countdown FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Er Miner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 65 minutes Countdown FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Er Miner quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, Countdown FC's Er Miner got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Demartis in the 70th minute of play. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Er Miner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, João Vítor Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and João Vítor Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredão Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 81 minutes, Válter Dante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Countdown FC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Er Miner had in the 82ndth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredão Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Vítor Barros in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Washington Demartis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Washington Demartis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Countdown FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
