No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Espiga to make the kick off. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jim Meck in the 51st minute of play. In the 51st minute, Jim Meck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 56 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Jim Meck came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Sam Yang managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the referee blew the final whistle, Samba Fotboll U21 could leave the field as winners, despite Honduras having more of the ball for most of the match.
