Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maurin Canturri hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 6th minute of play. After 12 played minutes Sporting Burgas got a freekick which was hit by Joel Ferrer. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting Burgas's goalkeeper Álvaro Perpiñán, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Álvaro Perpiñán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 15th minute of play. Álvaro Perpiñán took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Ferrer in the 21st minute of play. Dante Lacasa was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Antonio Fioriti capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Antonio Fioriti really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 28th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Perpiñán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Álvaro Perpiñán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 30th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sporting Burgas's Joel Ferrer got a free kick in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio Fioriti. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Álvaro Perpiñán. Sporting Burgas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 55 minutes into the game, Ke Xiong Chen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Burgas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. Ke Xiong Chen kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The supporters of Sporting Burgas booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Leoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Fioriti in the 63rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Sporting Burgas's Antonio Fioriti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Leonardo Leoz made in the 71st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Lautaro Mancebo immediately put the ball in play. In the 72nd minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Álvaro Perpiñán saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Álvaro Perpiñán showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 74th minute of the match. After 77 minutes Sporting Burgas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the game, Leonardo Leoz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sporting Burgas's Joel Ferrer quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Álvaro Perpiñán threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 90th minute, Leonardo Leoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
