Colombia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Guter Tobia scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Manzanares, making the score, 1-0. Axel Montenegro took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcial Bakar. Marcial Bakar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. Marcial Bakar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 16th minute of the match. Marcial Bakar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Axel Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Marcial Bakar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guter Tobia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Guter Tobia sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute Guter Tobia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by Colombia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Enrique Perico was slow to take the kick. During this time Aves Negras's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Aves Negras's corner Enrique Perico fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedro Manzanares quite easily take care of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guter Tobia to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Guter Tobia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aves Negras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guter Tobia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guter Tobia took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Aves Negras made a substitution. Aaron Gallagher replaced Humberto Urtsin. After a rather tough play, Aves Negras's Cezar Ciorogaru got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Tamer Yalçıner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aves Negras's supporters rose to their feet, but Tamer Yalçıner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Aves Negras made a substitution. Efrain Artal replaced Guter Tobia. 69 minutes into the match, Efrain Artal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Efrain Artal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. In the 72nd minute, Efrain Artal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Efrain Artal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. 75 minutes into the game, Aves Negras's Efrain Artal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-2. Aves Negras were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Colombia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Clarence Seedorf took the corner. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Efrain Artal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efrain Artal in the 85th minute of play. Enrique Perico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Marcial Bakar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 93rd minute.
