Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tord Söderqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Coronel Salgado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bernardo Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 20th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Axel Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Bernardo Lima was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 25 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Tafalla. If Tord Söderqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Tord Söderqvist took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. Tord Söderqvists short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Pedro Manzanares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 34th minute, Kevin Mastache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tord Söderqvist came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the S.C. Ferrari fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tord Söderqvist couldn't finish the play. Santino Seco hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tord Söderqvist in the 39th minute. S.C. Ferrari's attentive Lars Vallengren managed to snatch the ball when Luis Cazalla made a throw-in in the 40th minute of the game. In the 41st minute Tord Söderqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 46th minute Kevin Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Luis Cazalla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colombia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.C. Ferrari the free kick. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Luis Cazalla hit a great ball. Tord Söderqvist in the 49thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tord Söderqvist to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Tord Söderqvist made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by S.C. Ferrari's Tord Söderqvist. But to his dismay, Tord Söderqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. S.C. Ferrari's Gergely Bollobás was substituted for Tord Söderqvist. S.C. Ferrari's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Acácio de Andrade in the 64th minute. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Gergely Bollobás kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. S.C. Ferrari made a substitution. Jerônimo de Alcântara replaced Victor Otsando. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Carlos Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.C. Ferrari's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Duarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 75 minutes of play, S.C. Ferrari's Gergely Bollobás made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Luis Cazalla hit a great ball. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gergely Bollobás in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd minute of the match S.C. Ferrari got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Acácio de Andrade ran over to the corner to take the kick. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by S.C. Ferrari's Gergely Bollobás. But to his dismay, Gergely Bollobás quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-2. Gergely Bollobás took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-2. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Jerônimo de Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Jerônimo de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for S.C. Ferrari.
