The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bernardo Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 4th minute of play. Tord Söderqvist succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 20th playminute. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 32nd minute of play forced S.C. Ferrari's goalkeeper Bernardo Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Leonardo Leoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. 41 minutes into the game, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Felix Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. S.C. Ferrari were victorious despite being under pressure from Mexico for much of the match.
