Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Anaia Barba got the match started through his kick off. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho Romero in the 3rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexilhão F. C.'s Ronaldinho Romero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. In the 14th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Intxixu Porregimon. Mexilhão F. C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Abel de Lara got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Anaia Barba might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anaia Barba ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Germano Pernambucano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anaia Barba in the 36th minute of the match. After 41 played minutes Mexilhão F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Serafino Herena. After having played for 41 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Mexilhão F. C. booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Intxixu Porregimon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 54 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Intxixu Porregimon, 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in Mexilhão F. C.'s zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Intxixu Porregimon came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anaia Barba in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 65 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Intxixu Porregimon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. After 68 played minutes Mexilhão F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldinho Romero. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho Romero in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute of the match Mexilhão F. C. got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anaia Barba ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Tomas Illescas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 90th minute Ronaldinho Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Abel de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chants of Venezuela echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Mexilhão F. C. had held the ball for most of the match.
