Alberto Chioda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 88th minute. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberto Chioda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. The AC Morena fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
