Ralph Roeles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ralph Roeles quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Jan de Vlieger got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Emiliano Caiola got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Ralph Roeles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 25th minute of play. A collision led to Julias Rascals Apeldoorn getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Johan Saveneij hit a great ball. Ralph Roeles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Jan de Vlieger tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ralph Roeles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan de Vlieger was the one to do the kick off. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ralph Roeles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute of the match Jakov Cvjetković shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ralph Roeles was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Cristian Sancho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Sancho really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 62 minutes into the match, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalkeeper Ralph Roeles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 63rd minute Emiliano Caiola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Ralph Roeles to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ralph Roeles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
