In the 3rd minute, Navalito's Nicanor Parra ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 5th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. When Ecuador's Felix Montenegro in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Navalito's goalie prevented a goal. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Ecuador's Felix Montenegro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Soriano Espiñeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of play forced Navalito's goalkeeper Soriano Espiñeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Carlos Gustavo Caicedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Navalito's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Soriano Espiñeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Navalito's Nicanor Parra. But to his dismay, Nicanor Parra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 33 minutes into the match, Navalito's Nicanor Parra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Navalito's Soriano Espiñeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 38th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Soriano Espiñeira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Navalito's goalkeeper Soriano Espiñeira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Soriano Espiñeira made a huge save. When Eros Villamayor fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Navalito's protests and gave Eros Villamayor a yellow card for diving instead. Eros Villamayor kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Navalito made a substitution. Clemente Esquerra replaced Faustino Huaiquiman. In the 63rd minute, Eros Villamayor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita had several of the Navalito's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 69 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Soriano Espiñeira as he didn't even see the shot coming. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Isidoro Young might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isidoro Young ran back to his position shaking his head. 72 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Young came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Navalito's Soriano Espiñeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Navalito from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Young, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 85th match minute, Navalito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enric Mira to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Young came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Soriano Espiñeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 89th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Young in the 91st minute of play. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isidoro Young's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. After 95 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
